Ro: "Howard, would you have additional pictures of the George McKesson Brown, or his auto? Thank you for posting what you have of the McKesson Brown scrapbook!!"
I really enjoy answering viewer's requests....so here are all the photos from the scrapbook of George McKesson Brown, the owner of the 1906 #7 Mercedes driven by William Luttgen and mechanician Joe Marx.
Enjoy,

Although there was no photo of George McKesson Brown in the scrapbook, there was a cover page of the April 5, 1951 issue of The Long Islander. "Fire Commissioner" Brown can be seen on the far right.

Good morning. Off subject question to today’s post - I’m trying you pinpoint the exact location of where the John R. Pope designed gatehouse for the Deepdale estate stood. Was it off Lakeville? Can you help? Thanks for your time.
Hi Brad:
I will try to track it down for you.
Brad, the Deepdale Gate Lodge was located on the west side of Lakeville Road, near the current North Shore-LIJ Hospital entrance:

Great post! I was aware of its current location but did not know its original spot or history of the move. I did my own post on the gate lodge -

I linked your post to it. At the bottom you’ll find a photo of the main gate - do you have any insight to its original location? Thanks
Brad:
Super find! Thanks!!
