The 1946 VMCCA Jubliee Anniversary at the Mineola Fairgrounds

In June 1946, the Veteran Motor Car Club of America sponsored its 50th Anniversary Jubilee featuring a parade of 75 vintage cars and nine races at the Mineola Fairgrounds on Long Island.

An original Peter Helck painting of William Haupt driving the Chadwick Six at a 1908 Wilkes-Barre Hill Climb is available for sale at the l'art et l'autombile website. Haupt drove the Chadwick at the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Race.

Attention Vanderbilia collectors: This eight-minute film features over 90 pieces of memorabilia associated with the Vanderbilt Cup Races (1904-1960) and the Long Island Motor Parkway (1908-1938).
